NASA ready to launch Discovery with its new tank: "NASA had grounded its space shuttle fleet after the Columbia mishap on Feb. 1, 2003. The space shuttle was burnt and ripped apart as it entered earth?s atmosphere killing seven astronauts. The debris of the shuttle scattered over fields in Texas were collected and studied by NASA?s engineers. The culprit was foam insulation on the shuttles fuel tank."
